it@cork October Member of the Month - Nova Networks
The economies that continue to produce the talent to create new technology-based solutions will be those that succeed in an increasingly competitive world. It is important that we in Cork and Ireland recognise this fact "act as one" to ensure that our region is recognised as a European Technology Cluster as well as for its world class IT companies and innovative approach to education in IT. The achievement of success in this context will ensure that the IT industry will continue to thrive and that our region will produce IT talent into the future that will differentiate us from our competitors.

Delivering on this vision, Nova Networks as part of the it@cork, European Tech Cluster Adopt-a-School programme was able to provide Carrigaline Educate Together National School with internet access for it's Portgage site. This site had no internet access at all and the Department of Education felt the school as a whole was "adequately provided for". The additional provisions from Nova Networks has enabled teachers to support their lessons, and this has also allowed SEN teachers to provide valuable supervised internet access to children who need additional support.

Nova Networks is Cork-based internet service provider (ISP). Using their own broadband network, they have been providing high quality communications services including residential broadband and business broadband since 2004. They are reqowned for their high level of customer service and technical support and believe in providing a level of reliability and quality that is head and shoulders above their competitors.

it@cork, European Tech Cluster continues to develop it's Adopt-a-School programme to support and recognise the outstanding efforts of organisations that are making a difference in this context.

Denis Collins it@cork Chairman says "Many thanks to everyone involved for their passion and support regarding the it@cork, European Tech Cluster Adopt a School programme. Leadership such as this makes a significant difference for our children, future, industry and for Ireland."
