"From Zero to Data Governance Hero"

"From Zero to Data Governance Hero"

it@cork member Asystec presented to over 90 delegates at the it@cork Tech Tuesday in UCC this evening.

Sustainable data governance is about embracing a methodology and a culture that treats data as a business asset rather than a technology asset, and provides a clear and well defined path to remediate access and ensure that only the right people have access to the right data at all times.

Attendees at this session in March heard a the step-by-step plan that can help improve your current data governance efforts and become a Data Governance hero.

"Thanks to Asystec, Veronis and ISACA for speaking on data governance at it@cork's Tech Tuesday in UCC.  Successful it@cork members are routinely entrusted with personal data by their customers.  We have a duty to look after this customer data - always"' commented Cian Kennedy, Head of IT, Laya Healthcare and Director of it@cork.  "Sessions like this month's "From Zero to Data Governance Hero" provide opportunities for it@cork member companies to re-assess their data governance practices, to explore new approaches and to network with data protection professionals within the it@cork network".

Sophia Byrne, Enterprise Account Manager said “Asystec are delighted to be sponsoring this it@cork Tech Tuesday event in partnership with it@cork.  Asystec’s focus is to bring information from a technical, business and market perspective to our current and potential customer base to help build strategies to meet their Data Management objectives.
