February Tech Tuesday - "Product Managers, Agile Product Owners and Building Great Products"
Rich Mironov, Seasoned product executive, Start-up Entrepreneur, Author and Technologis.

"Product Managers, Agile Product Owners and Building Great Products"

There’s tremendous confusion about how product management works in Agile software companies. Having spent decades in the B2B software trenches, Rich will talk about what product managers really do, how this overlaps with agile product owners, and organizational failure modes. How do we build/ship great products, rather than get stuck in roles and titles?

Speaker Profile:

Rich Mirinov, Seasoned Product Executive, Start-up Entrepreeur, Author and Technoloist.

Rich is a seasoned software executive ad serial entrepreneur: the "product guy" at six startups, including as CEO and VP Marketing/Products. With deep technical roots in B2B infrastructure, SaaS and consumer online, Rich combines, "what-we-can-build" with "what-markets-want". He consults/speaks/blogs on product strategy, product management, agile and organising cross-functional organisations.

Rich has provided full-term and short-term product management consulting to more that 50 tech companies. He attacks both customer-facing and engineering issues with special expertise in product strategy, pricing/business models, technology roadmaps, agile and go-to-market. Latey, also helping execs interview / hire product management leadership.

He wrote "The Art of Product Management" (http://tinyurl.com/5ce65h) and is a voice for the scrappy entrepreneur in all of us. Founder of Product Camp, he's an in-demand speaker for business/executive and technical audiences. Rich has guest-lectured at top business schools worldwide, served on the board of SVPMA, and chaired the first product mgmt/product owner tracks at the annual Agile Conference.

Specialties: Executive-level product management ("interim VP Products") and organizational leadership for tech companies: how to structure, hire, mentor and drive product teams toward great software. Product/portfolio strategy, business models, agile product management, market assessments. Deep technical experience in networking, security, cloud/SaaS, transactions and scalable computing.
