  • Sales Development Representative (SDR)

As Sales Development Representative (SDR) you will work hard to provide our commercial teams with superior qualitative and quantitative research, customer insight and data to help us grow our business and identify new opportunities. You will also work in partnership with potential customers to establish their needs and increase our market knowledge. This is a permanent position within our Marketing function based in our Cork office.

The SDR function is a newly established function within Newsweaver, working alongside sales, pre-sales, marketing and product management teams and therefore offers excellent learning and career progression potential for the successful candidate.

You are most likely an ambitious recent graduate with solid commercial experience gained within the sales and marketing function of a large technology organisation. At this early stage in your career you are keen to embark on a new challenge with an agile, innovative, high-growth, cloud software company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the primary interface between the marketing and sales functions by qualifying marketing generated leads
  • Develop and implement research processes to obtain key information for the sales team
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to identify key new business opportunities
  • Work closely with pre-sales to evangelise the Newsweaver value proposition to new prospects
  • Conduct BANT analysis with key prospects in order to help qualify leads from the web, trade shows, conferences and other media
  • Assist the marketing team with the maintenance & development of Newsweaver’s marketing automation and CRM systems
  • Provide valuable customer feedback to the product management team to assist with product roadmap development
  • Leverage social media to interact more effectively with Newsweaver’s target audience
  • Deliver timely industry research and management reports
  • General sales & marketing administration duties

 Experience required:

  • Degree qualified (Business, Marketing or other)
  • 1-3 years commercial experience, ideally gained within the area of technology
  • Has worked within the sales and marketing function of a multinational technology organisation
  • Experience of cross functional collaboration
  • Strong understanding of research methods within a commercial environment

Qualities required:

  • Excellent telephone skills with the ability to communicate effectively, confidently and professionally
  • Ability to use a variety of telephone and questioning techniques to obtain valuable customer insights and information
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to research and sales
  • Desire for career progression into a more senior solution sales or marketing role

  • UX / UI Designer

At Newsweaver, we've realized the best way to build great software is hire great people.  With this in mind we are looking to hire a UX/UI Designer to extend our ability to create great software that is also easy to use. This is an exciting time to join our rapidly expanding organisation with high aspirations to produce dynamic design that creates an enjoyable and user friendly experience for our customers. This role could be an ideal stepping stone for a driven and self-motivated recent graduate with at least one years’ work experience and a keen interest in UX/UI.

In this role, you'll be working in a cross-functional web development team, where it will be your job to ensure that the UI is simple, consistent and highly usable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop mock-ups and prototypes of new and existing features and iterate the design based on usability test results and feedback.
  • Work in an Agile based environment practicing Lean UX design
  • Interact with Product Management and Development in the design of product features and enhancements
  • Advise development team on best practice UI design
  • Perform UI tests and evaluations both internally and externally
  • Maintain standards for UI to ensure a consistent user experience across all applications
  • Improve UI based on application usage patterns
  • Adhere to Newsweaver security policies and procedures in line with ISO 27001

Required Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in interactive media, web development, multimedia, computer science or an equivalent combination of relevant experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant position
  • Ability to negotiate and articulate the "why" of design decisions
  • Proficiency with a variety of design tools including Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to clearly articulate concepts and recommendations, both written and verbally
  • Excellent HTML & CSS skills

Nice to have, but not essential

  • Experience with Adobe Fireworks
  • Knowledge of JavaScript
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Experience working in an agile environment

  • Business Development Manager

Due to continued expansion, we invite applications for the permanent position of Business Development Manager to join our sales team in either Cork or London, you can decide!

The selected candidate will focus on developing and selling our new Internal Communications product suite to large corporates in Ireland and the UK. You will be a seasoned business development professional with a proven track record of initiating, managing and closing high-value new business revenue opportunities with large enterprises. A natural ‘hunter’ and dealmaker, you will be motivated by a desire to win new business, activate new accounts/partnerships and help shape the agenda for business growth in the coming 12-18 months. You are customer and revenue focused with the ability to define ‘win-win’ pricing and usage scenarios for Newsweaver and our customers and partners. You enjoy creating long-term relationships with your clients and can expect to spend up to 50% of your time travelling.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Research, identify, and target senior decision-makers in large enterprises within your territory
  • Initiate, manage and close high-value sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a solid and sustainable pipeline of qualified new business revenue opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing to execute high-impact outbound sales and marketing campaigns
  • Participate in industry trade shows and exhibitions to keep abreast of the latest industry trends and developments
  • Manage inbound leads in a timely, professional and customer-focused manner
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Meet or exceed core sales activity metrics
  • Develop superior product and industry knowledge to win credibility at a senior management level
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales proposals and customer demonstrations
  • Provide timely, accurate and consistent reporting via internal systems (e.g. SFDC)
  • Provide ongoing feedback to product management to ensure product roadmap is aligned with market and customer requirements
  • Foster collaborative working relations with the rest of the team at Newsweaver
  • Adhere to Newsweaver security policies and procedures in line with our ISO 27001 accreditation

Qualifications and experience required

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Marketing or a similar field
  • 3-5 years IT business development/sales experience, preferably in International B2B ‘SaaS’ sales
  • Successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Complete understanding of standard office applications, social media tools, etc.
